From GoogleDocs: "12-20-09 - A Healthy Zombie"

12-20-09

Death. And Alan Watts said it, too; look for it in one of the videos:

It reminded me of what I had thought of a long time ago.
Death. What is death like? And someone else had introduced
the concept to me, too.

What was it like before you were born?

A sort of... nothing. Just.... nothing there. Nothing to recollect.

And that is death. Nothing. Neither pain nor pleasure,
neither recollection or feeling. It is... absence. It's nothing.
Death is nothing.

Or, "Epicurus has this statement, 'You should not fear deathwhen death iI am notwhen Iamdeath inot, therefore why worry?'"
Really, it is not the death, nor is it the fall, but the crash.

Fear of death is the manifestation of the gap. Another gap.
Gap gap gap.

There isn't a "should be" for life. The very reason that the
should-be has perpetuated so well... is that the meme,
"But you should prefer life" has been perpetuated by those
who were perpetuating it. They lived! Yet this should driving
force leaves in its wake much pain. The conflicts that we
are dealing with will be dealt with by slow memetic generational
evolution, unless a process faster than that is discovered.

Suicide, stopping, inaction, paralysis is the response to shoulds.
Banking on "but you should prefer life" is to perpetuate death.
Not death of the body, but death of the mind, with the shell
of life continuing on.

And this is our current state of living. Lives of desperate desolation,
with the very poison that has kept us dead being fed to us as life.
Whoda thunk that zombies were good reproducers?
